Use embroidery for
Polos, caps, jackets, button-downs and aprons. Anything client-facing where a stitched logo signals quality.
Use screen printing for
T-shirts, large back designs, event shirts and bulk orders where cost per piece matters most.
Cost
Embroidery is priced by stitch count and stays fairly flat with quantity. Screen printing gets much cheaper as quantity rises.
Durability
Both last. Embroidery handles commercial laundering best, which is why restaurants and clinics choose it.
Using both
A common uniform set is an embroidered polo for staff and a screen printed tee for events, using the same logo file.
